OK!
Where are we having our next Art night?
I get home that day in the morning, but I will be ready for some art and stories that night.

bottom TO top

feelin' the vibe!

finding escape

taking a breath ...w/o breathing
finding identity in mass

letting arms be arms
synapse connections
taking in sounds and
drinking in memories

no excuses
no expectations
no worries to be had

let the brush dance
let the pen ride
let the moment be

and embrace the inevitable
...tutti artista
...tutti poeti
...tutti maestro
...tutui virtuoso

letting hands be hands
soaking in and releasing
...tutti respiro

Robert Rauschenberg said...

"I carry my camera as a sketchbook."
I have always thought that filmmakers use the camera as a sketchbook yes, but 10 times more now with the digital camera.
Here is a piece my Robert Rauschenberg, one of my favorite artists.

Theme, Subject Matter... or Free Form?

How about a theme or subject matter--or would everyone just like to bring what they are working on--which is fine with me. Worked out great last time.

religious show at Springville Museum of Art

I did the Springville Museum of Art religious show. There was a few cool pieces there. There is always a butt load of art of Jesus that look like photographs---like Brother Jones down the road grew a beard they put a robe on him and took a picture of him and then spend 6 months painting him---not super fond of that but different strokes right. This is kind of a cool piece and there was a piece by Fidalis David Kanoanikie Buehler, one of my favorite local artists.

Featured Inspirational Artist For The Evening

I liked the idea that Steve-O put forth of having a brief introduction of an artist to start the night off. There were about ten different artists I wanted to highlight, but I ended up choosing someone I just discovered-Serena Mitnik-Miller

GUN CLUB ART CLUB musings...

Manifesto:
Bleeding from the artifacts of digital emotion, a group of friends enshrine a red-floored garage; painting, talking, photographing as we smudge our souls with the lavishes of creative luxury.

Is it 'a gun club' or a book-club-substitution for the ADD?

Soon to see....Every 2nd Thursday.
Cutri. Irwin. Yarro. Vincent. Olpin....More.

#1 Of Many Possible Credos:
Sleep with tons of mackerels and flounder your meandering pastilles of makeshift lard into a spark of silver - forever.

"Circle your whites with the sitting portraits of writing as red flashes the dawn of suspended Asian statues."

"After-market-bludgeons-ortho through the sand dunes of delight."
